Overview

The information stored across all your computer systems is probably your company’s most valuable asset. All organisations are now at greater risk than ever of losing some or all of this irreplaceable data through threats such as a major systems failure, malicious hacking, viruses, fire, theft, flood, or even a terrorist attack.

RescueIT’s On-Line Backup service provides a fully automated, encrypted and highly secure off-site backup and restore solution for your systems and data, powered by the world-leading Asigra software, the only agentless backup solution that has a United States Military rating for safety and security (FIPS 140-2 Validation).

On-Line Backup Service Description

On-line Backup is managed from our purpose-built Network Operations Centre (NOC), located in a high-security, BS7799 compliant, Class A datacentre.

Following the initial consultation and installation, On-Line Backup carries out an automatic data backup of any changed or new data to network storage devices located within the NOC. Each night a duplicate copy of your data is backed up to a second Class A datacentre in Amsterdam.

This activity is carried out automatically, at least daily, with full encryption of all data before it leaves your premises. On-Line Backup provides a flexible backup scheduler for daily, weekly, monthly and yearly data sets.

The time taken to back up your data is kept to a minimum as On-Line Backup utilises the latest compression techniques such as Delta Blocking and Send Once technologies, as well as sophisticated de-duplication procedures. On-Line Backup includes 24x7 monitoring and alert by the support system, with full escalation procedures, any event being logged and fully detailed within the reporting database. The on-line administrative interface is intuitive to use, enabling you to quickly restore single or multiple lost files and even individual e-mail messages, as and when needed.

Data and Systems Restores

In the event of data loss you can quickly restore data  by logging on to our data vault (encryption key protected).

In the event of temporary server loss, we will immediately restore your systems and data to the standby virtual servers in our data vault and provide you with remote access.

In a disaster scenario where your servers are permanently lost or damaged, as well as making the standby servers available, we will also immediately source and rebuild replacement servers from our data vault (Asigra is particularly effective at bare-metal restore). The replacement servers, which will be yours to keep, will then be delivered and installed on your network. We will then switch you over from our standby servers to these replacement servers, with the data fully synchronised.
